The idea
FFmpeg is powerful but intimidating. I wanted a focused app a nontechnical person could use confidently to put a new audio track on a video.
What it does
- Replaces the original soundtrack while leaving the source files unchanged.
- Outputs MP4 or MKV, with a choice of fast video-stream copying or H.264 conversion.
- Shows progress, supports cancellation, and refuses to overwrite existing files by accident.
How it was verified
I tested with generated audio and video samples, checked output streams and duration, exercised both processing modes, and confirmed the overwrite protection works.
